userContent.css Generator

October 26th, 2008 by Snake-Arsenic

Today someone sent an interesting question via the contact form asking how put the tank background you get when you open a link in a new tab on a blank tab.

I sent a userContent.css file to him that did exactly that and now I’ve add how to do this in the FAQ and created a userContent.css generator to make it easy for first time userContent.css creators.

There are three possible combinations available and here is a preview of what they do:

The two variations were also suggested by this person, enjoy!

2.027 Released

October 2nd, 2008 by Snake-Arsenic

This version was released early because of the themes changes with Shiretoko(Firefox 3.1a) and the fact some things Mozilla has planned have yet to implemented.

Hopefully this will be the last version for Firefox 3.0.* as I put the new version on hold and turn my attention to improving the current theme in preparation for the Shiretoko beta.

Here are the release notes:
-Minor tweaks and adjustments to toolbars.
-Removed background image on Conduit bar search boxes, allowing custom background colors to show through properly(this affects all conduit bars).
-Added support for sidebar snapping in add-ons (DOM Inspector, Chatzilla etc.)
-Fixed problem in Stylish where checkboxes in Manage Styles window would not display.
-NG Tank loading image now displays properly on un-customised toolbars and new installations of Firefox 3.

Site updated

That’s right the site has been updated yet again.

This time I’ve added a question to the FAQ page that explains how to install the Newgrounds font and where to get it.

This should complete the documentation for now and can help anyone who wants to see the theme in it’s full glory as it covers a large number of operating systems including Mac OS, Windows and Linux.

Enjoy.

On the road to Shiretoko

August 10th, 2008 by Snake-Arsenic

That’s right, I’m preparing for some new features in Firefox 3.1.

This will include better buttons and scrollbars that take advantage of new CSS3 features that are being added in order to allow for infinitely large resolutions and reduce download size.

Some improvements will be made to the text boxes and buttons and snapping sidebars will be made available wherever they are implemented, adding some more features across multiple platforms.

Some of these features will be added in an update to Firefox 3.0 and overall the theme won’t look much different but behind the scenes will be more efficient and styled simpler and more effectively.

Conduit tool bars will also include added support to allow the creator’s custom themes to shine through by removing NG Classic’s text box styling from any search box that has a background colour set using Conduit’s tool bar service.

You can get this in an update when Shiretoko goes beta.

Version 2.025 Released.

July 14th, 2008 by Snake-Arsenic

This may be the final version for Firefox 3.0 unless there are any add-ons or bugs that need attention as I will be moving on to other projects full-time.

This is not to say there won’t be updates, just a kind of “code-freeze” and I will maintain this theme as long as there is an interest in it.

On to other news, you really should be using the compact menu if you want more vertical screen space as this menu returns the theme to a pre-bug-work-around state (if that makes any sense) by reinstating tank_sm.gif in place of the NG tank.

Enjoy!
